Today, in the course of the briefing in the Parliament Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine commented upon the discussion regarding the division of the offices in the presidium of the Verkhovna Rada. "I perform duties as a Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed to this office by the opposition and I am convinced that the coalition has no right to define who is going to represent opposition in the parliamentary presidium", M. Tomenko stated.
M. Tomenko also emphasised that "unfortunately there have already been an attempt to make "television" or "office" leaders of the opposition. "Opposition itself will cope with its offices and organizational issues", M. Tomenko stated.
"Altering of the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of the heads of the Committees from opposition is possible only in case oppositional factions themselves make a decision to appoint a new candidate to certain office", M. Tomenko emphasised.
